Kickboxing

This class incorporates western style boxing with the kicking skills of Karate, offering a great workout with the added benefit of learning a Martial Art.

Millennium Martial Art Centre allows each student to progress through a full grading syllabus, at their own pace and fully supported by their instructor.

Typical class will include:

  • Gentle warm-up
  • Stretch routine
  • Punch and kicking skills
  • Fitness training e.g. pad work, medicine ball, shadow sparring

Beginner Classes

Kickboxing

Aimed at the total beginner and for lower grade students. The session will start with a light warm-up and guided stretch. Basic kicks and punches from the beginner’s syllabus will be taught in a step by step approach. Sessions will include some cardiovascular exercises such as skipping and pad work.

This is a fun session and a great way to relieve the stresses of the day! Instructors will offer encouragement and full support in a relaxed environment.

Intermediate Classes

Kickboxing

This class follows a similar format but new kicks will be introduced Students will work on developing their flexibility and fitness. Close partner work will be included such as working on kick shields and pads.

Advanced Classes

Kickboxing

This class focuses heavily on advanced kicks and sparring skills. Students will work on developing greater fitness and flexibility.
